Herbal Sore Throat Spray: this herbal spray is a convenient way to get herbs directly on the throat where they are most needed. This recipe yields 1-1/4 cup.​​
Ingredients:
• 1/3 cup finely cut and dried echinacea root
• 1/4 cup dried elderberries
• 2-tablespoons each dried sage leaf and dried licorice root
• 2-teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 1-2/3 cups vodka or brandy
• OR 1 cup vegetable glycerin and 2/3 cup water
Directions:
• Place all the herbs and honey into a pint-sized jar.
• If using alcohol, add it to the jar, leaving about a ¼-inch headspace.
• If using glycerin and water, mix before pouring into the jar and stir well.
• Reserve any leftover liquid, cover the jar tightly with a lid, and label.
• Shake the mixture every day, and let it steep for a total of 4 weeks.
• Strain, pour the liquid into containers, and attach spray toppers.
To use: spray directly to the throat as needed to relieve pain and reduce swelling.

Breathe Easy Lung Support Oxymel: an oxymel is an herbal remedy made by infusing beneficial herbs into a vinegar and raw honey mixture. The result is a shelf-stable, versatile, and delightfully sweet-and-sour traditional remedy that can be enjoyed by itself, or mixed into beverages or salad dressings for delicious tonic enjoyment. Beyond the support offered by the specific herbs infused into the vinegar, other oxymel benefits include that it’s alcohol-free, kid-friendly, and provides digestive assistance through the probiotic raw apple cider vinegar.

Ingredients:
• Dried elecampane root
• Dried wild cherry bark
• Dried mullein
• Raw apple cider vinegar
• Raw, local honey
Directions:
• Fill a glass jar 1/4 full with equal parts of the herbs.
• Pour vinegar over the herbs until jar is half full.
• Fill the remainder of the jar with honey, and stir.
• Seal the jar with a metal lid with piece of parchment paper underneath.
• Shake well.
• Store jar in a cool, dark place and shake every 2 to 3 days.
• After about 2 weeks, strain the herbs from the mixture.
• Store in a sanitized glass jar.
• Use 1-2 tablespoons for adults, 2-3 times daily as needed.

Soothing Lung Tea: this blend helps open and soothe irritated lungs and respiratory tissue that result from a chronic respiratory condition, an angry sore throat, or temporary irritation in the lungs. The fennel seed and peppermint both help break up mucus and ease spasms. Optional additions include plantain or nettle leaf, wild cherry bark, thyme, goldenrod, licorice, and passionflower. This recipe yields 1 serving.
Ingredients:
• 1 teaspoon mullein leaf
• 1 teaspoon marshmallow leaf or root
• 1 teaspoon fennel seed or peppermint
Directions:
• Steep herbs in 16 to 32 ounces of hot water for 15 minutes.
• Strain out the herbs thoroughly.
• Drink 1 to 3 cups daily as needed.
