Thanks to the generosity of Kellog Garden, with their 144-bag soil donation, this project is fully funded and complete!

 

​The Nature's Apothecary Raised Bed Project was installed at a Fayette County heritage property located in Somerville, Tennessee. The project consists of six extra-tall, raised beds that are spaces dedicated to cultivating plants known for their therapeutic properties that offer a natural source for herbal remedies, and provide a place for the community to learn about traditional healing practices.

 

This garden provides herbs that can be used to create glycerites, salves, syrups, teas, tinctures, and vinegars that can be used for various ailments. It also serves as a learning environment for understanding the cultivation, harvesting, and medicinal uses of various herbs and plants native to the local growing area.
