HOMESCHOOL HANGOUT
The Wild Child Gardens of Natural Wellness Homeschool Hangout meets at the Wise Woman's Wildflower Gardens, a collection of raised beds and container gardens, located in the town of Oakland in Fayette County, Tennessee. The gardens include six elevated raised bed style gardens and ten-20" container gardens. The raised beds are constructed with cedar wood and galvanized and rust-resistant materials, Kellog brand organic soil mix, and worm castings. No chemicals are used in the gardens.
The gardens are planted and maintained with local home school students and other volunteers, and contains an array of herbs, pollinator-friendly flowers, and vegetables. The students learn about the gardening season, planting root vegetables, seeds and seedlings, beneficial insects, pollinators, seed saving techniques, and how to use the garden harvest.

The bounty from this garden is cultivated, grown, watered, maintained, harvested, cleaned by hand, and shared with the local community.
