Wild Child Herb Shop recognizes that children are our future farmers, gardeners, and homesteaders.

 

Our goal is to educate children about:

• The importance of the environment, sustainability practices, and how to conserve resources.

• Caring for plants and maintaining a garden.

• Independence and creativity.

• Photosynthesis, seed production, and other scientific concepts. 

• Using math skills to plan a garden layout.

• Keeping a garden journal to read and write about their experiences.

• Leadership skills through participation in the group.

• Developing skills that can be useful later in life.

• Raising test scores, especially in science and math. 

• Developing a love of gardening that can lead to future hobbies and careers.
