The Young Entrepreneur Market is highlighted during the Somerville Farmer's Market from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. the 3rd Saturday of the month from June through August. Somerville Farmer's Market advertising focuses on the youth market on these dates, however; we welcome participation as many Saturdays as desired.

The booth fee is $10 per market, registration is required, and the market agreement must be signed and submitted before participation is allowed. The forms can be accessed by emailing Ginger Winn at irish0072@aol.com. All forms are due the Wednesday before the first market requested.

The goal of the Young Entrepreneur Market is to provide youth with real-world experience in entrepreneurship, fostering skills like product development, customer interaction, pricing, and pitching.

The market offers a chance for youth to engage in transactions with real customers and foster a sense of ownership and responsibility.  The emphasis is on learning by doing, gaining valuable skills through hands-on activities like selling products, interacting with customers, and managing their own business, developing essential skills like product development, customer service, pricing, and marketing, boosting a child's confidence and self-esteem, and learning about supply and demand, competition, and the importance of customer satisfaction.
