WILD CHILD GARDENS OF NATURAL WELLNESS
GROWING WITH A PURPOSE
HOMETOWN PROUD GARDEN PROJECT

The Growing with a Purpose Hometown Proud Garden Project is located in suburban Fayette County, Tennessee in the town of Somerville, on a 1.34-acre heritage property owned by Emily Giles that is the location of A New Life Herbs. The property dates back to the 1930's and is surrounded by forest, fields, and other commercial businesses.

The Growing with a Purpose gardens are in progress and planned to have a fruit shrub and tree orchard, a vegetable garden, a wide variety of culinary and medicinal herbs, a pollinator habitat that provides nectar and pollen plants, food, water, cover, and places to raise young, a therapeutic garden to provide mental health support for the local community, a wildflower meadow, and teaching gardens for local youth and adults.

The Somerville Farmer's Market at A New Life Herbs is open year-round. See the Farmer's Market tab for dates and hours.

The Earth's Bounty Community Garden provides nutritious fruit, herbs, and vegetables for those in need through programs like "Grow-a-Row", "Pay It Forward", "Pay What You Can", and "Take What You Need".

The HOPE (Helping Other People Eat) Food Pantry will be stocked with produce raised in the gardens and will serve individuals and families in the community who live below the poverty level, and experience food insecurity on a daily basis.
