The H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Eat) Food Pantry envisions a community in which everyone has access to a sufficient supply of nutritious food. We believe that access to nutritious food is a basic human need, and we are committed to responding to the needs of our community through food distribution, support services, and educational programs.
The H.O.P.E. Food Pantry Mission Statement:
-
To provide food assistance by offering weekly food distributions.
-
To address food insecurity experienced by those in need in the community.
-
To support self-sufficiency by providing resources and guidance.
-
To share information about growing food, nutrition, & healthy eating.
-
To create a respectful and compassionate space for accessing food assistance.
-
To actively listen, learn, & appreciate the worth of each and every person.
-
To contribute to a more resilient food system for the community.
-
To collaborate with local organizations to expand our reach and resources.
The H.O.P.E. Food Pantry provides food relief for those who struggle to put food on the table, including those who are experiencing a financial hardship, cannot afford to buy food on a regular basis, face food insecurity on a regular basis, receive government assistance, and live below the poverty level. Those who are homeless, unemployed, elderly, and have disabilities are also eligible.
The H.O.P.E. Food Pantry provides an important safety net for underprivileged and undernourished children by giving them the sustenance they need to stay healthy and thrive. We offer a variety of nutritious foods which can help prevent malnutrition and other health problems, and provide a much-needed sense of stability and support for these children and their families.
