Digestive Bitters have been used throughout history to stimulate the digestive system. The process steeps bitter-tasting roots, leaves, and berries in alcohol and the mixture is served before or after a meal. These tasty bitters may be enjoyed as an aperitif, a digestif, and may calm the occasional upset stomach.

Wild Child Woodland Bitters is a folk recipe that originated in Germany, and has been handed down through the generations. The recipe is an infusion of over one dozen organic herbs, leaves, roots, and spices.

Tinctures are concentrated liquid herbal extracts, made by steeping fresh or dried herbs and other plant parts in alcohol or cider vinegar. Traditionally, alcohol is used because it breaks down the cell wall of the plant, allowing the plants bio-active compounds to be released and stored in the alcohol. Tinctures made with cider vinegar are not as potent or as well absorbed as those made with alcohol.
