DONATIONS: SEEDS TO SUCCESS: CHILDREN'S BUILDING FUNDRAISER

The Seeds to Success Children’s Program building is a blue metal structure located behind the main stone building and beside the Earth’s Bounty Community Garden. The building provides a fun and engaging way for kids of all ages to learn about plants, nature, and the food they eat, while also developing valuable skills and fostering a love for the outdoors.

The side of the building that faces the community garden has been enhanced with a beautiful and creative mural by Maria Mack, artist, and an arbor with passionflower vines and garden benches for seating is planned for the area around the mural. The front is planned to be enhanced with colorful and welcoming nature-themed artworks from a variety of artists, and a cover across the entire area to provide shade and shelter from the rain.

The youth programs encourage participation in a variety of activities:

Hands-on activities: planning a garden plot, and planting, tending, and harvesting vegetables and herbs.

Educational activities: learning about plants, plant life cycles, pollination, composting, the importance of soil health, the interconnectedness of ecosystems, and the importance of a healthy diet.

Age-appropriate activities: the programs are tailored to different age groups and ensure engagement and learning for all participants.

Family involvement: the programs encourage family participation and provide opportunities for families to learn and work together.
